Dr. Antone Godding was organist at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church, Oklahoma City and Professor Emeritus of Music at Oklahoma City University. He was educated at Friends University, Wichita, Kansas, Union Theological Seminary, New York City, and holds the doctor of musical arts degree in organ performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York, where his major professor was Russell Saunders. As a Fulbright scholar, he was a student of Helmut Walcha at the Staatliche Hochschule für Music in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. Godding is a past-dean of chapters of the American Guild of Organists in Waterbury, Connecticut and Oklahoma City. He served nine years as Oklahoma State Chairman for that organization, and as secretary and treasurer of the Oklahoma City Chapter. He has conducted numerous organ repertoire sessions in Oklahoma City and for the AGO at local, regional, and national meetings.
