SUMMARY:30 Hour Famine
DESCRIPTION:Join us on February 11th-12th\, many students from around the OKC metro area will gather at Nichols Hills UMC to fast from food for 30 hours to stand in solidarity with those who live in poverty around the world. We will also have worship\, games\, small groups\, and competitions that help simulate what it is like to live in extreme poverty\, which is defined as living on less than one dollar a day. The 30 Hour Famine raises money for World Vision\, which is an organization that actively works to bring people out of extreme poverty through education and building sustainable lifestyles.
