Block Party

Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Block Party was a site to see with over 250 children, youth, and adults sharing in fellowship with one another. We thank our Cub Scouts and their families for providing and cooking our hot dogs. We are particularly grateful for all of the work J.B. Sims did behind the scenes: trimming bushes and trees and helping with the set-up and the clean-up. We also want to thank Michael Maxwell for providing our Giant Slip-N-Slide. So many children loved sliding down into the muddy mess at the bottom. Of course, We are also very grateful to all of you who heard a call from God to make homemade ice cream and other goodies. We sampled them all, and everything was delicious. Thanks to Lakeside United Methodist Church for loaning us the Bingo equipment and to each of you who contributed prizes. Clark Musser sure knows how to call a game of Bingo, and it was fun to watch Tom McDaniel pull the numbers out of the hopper. We also really appreciate our church staff and our teachers from The Learning Center. Each one is so gifted and contributes so much to our church. It is amazing to see what God can do through us when we work together to make a Christian difference in our community!
